Present : Tense / MAYHEM is a unique challenge young artistic talent to tackle the hottest topic of the moment in just seven days. We've asked a host of young and aspiring artists to collaborate.
And here's the line up so far for what promises to be an evening of imagination and provocation:
- Artists In Residence at Southbank –
Tomorrow’s Warriors working in collaboration with Performance Poets
Mia Korrel and
Henry Oslatten
- Images by photographer
Ludo des Cognets
-
Mayhem Northside with Associate Artist
Anthony Adjekum
-
The Mayhem Company with Associate Writer
Sarah May
-
Open Hands Productions - the writers and performers collective
- Singer songwriters
Ayeisha Clarke and
Elisha Morrison
-
Southwark Playhouse’s Young Company
You know the drill - the groups meet the Sunday before to select
the most momentous story on the news agenda. They then have seven
days to create a piece of work that responds to the story they choose
before it is performed live exactly one week after they began. Throughout
the week you can follow their progress and post comments on the
Present : Tense blog.
